  7. I'm using Jazz's strategy. If I can lose the weight first, maybe I can break even over Christmas. Hard to believe it's almost another year. -Marty

  8. I am hoping that the new place isn't going to inconvenience any of you too bad. It will be a bit harder because I read again what we have to bring is our own Linens. Which means Sheets, pillows and bath towels. There is something we have not had to worry about. Although every room is nice with your own bathroom and two double beds and a dresser mirror and they seem nice enough it looks like the only thing on the bed is a blanket. So if you are driving and can squeeze in a towel and washrag for each there are washers on the property. When you are clean you can hang your towel up and use it more than one day like other folks do . The girl Grands will have a room to themselves and the boys will have their own room so that will be nice. There is a bedroom with several beds in it for the boys since we have more boys than girls. Otherwise I think the house is supplied with kitchen stuff like pots and pans.

I will bring some extra towels and A extra flat screen or two for the boys and girls to play games on or watch a film. I am planning on bringing some stuff so the girls can try their crafts on making a fancy headband or two. So

I hate to bog down your packing with bringing linens but If you have enough sheets for your two beds, a pillow each and bath towel each we will see how this goes this year. We may rather not do it again handicapped somewhat with having to bring extra linen stuff. There are some there in a room I saw but not enough for the whole place it is more like a Retreat camp deal I think. It looks nice otherwise. Sorry for the inconvience. I will get some extra incase we fall short . The only thing I did see on the bed was a blanket. And I hope they all have plenty of blankets I will make sure we are good on that . I have lots of stuff as far as paper goods and non perishables stored at Aunt Alexa's so I have a start on alot of stuff. Love, Mom

  9. There is no audio visual there either it says you have to bring your own TV etc..LOL well it is a religious place. As I said I will bring a couple Monitors I have two flat ones , A Playstation , a WII a couple DVD players and one that is VHS . And I am bring UNO Spinner game and maybe OLD Mad or two...Skipbo and a few films . We do pretty good with what I have always brought so we will have fun. I just can't wait to have us all in one spot at the same time no matter what we all do we can see us all together at one time. Those times are so important to me . When ever it can be possible it does me lots of good and lightens my heart to store up time with us all together. Love that time flys for me.

  11. Dear Family,

I just talked to the Director at the Ranch. She says that they have all 7 bedrooms with two queen beds in them upstairs now. One of the rooms upstairs has a couple queen beds and two sets of bunk beds. I think that room should be for the boys since there are more boys than girls. The girls can have a room with two beds in it and do fine since we have four big girls and Ainsley could even have a blow up mattress or stay with her Mom and dad if she would rather. Sometimes little ones rather stay with parents. Whatever they want to do since each couple will have a room with two beds double or queen. The downstairs bedrooms are two double beds still but they are still nice rooms if anyone would rather not go upstairs. I for one will probably stay downstairs unless I change my mind when we get there.

I wanted you to know this about the beds because you will need queen sheets instead of double if you want to stay upstairs. You can put queen sheets on a double but didn't want you to get there with a double trying to put it on a queen.

Please bring at least two sheet sets with pillow cases for your bed too. They have blankets on all the beds and a few extra pillows incase you don't bring yours. Some people just like their own pillow . I will bring a few sheets with me in case we need more and a few extra towels and washrags.

So to sum it up. Sheets queen or double , Pillow cases, pillows if you want....and towels for your own room. They say blankets are there already. You all will have a room with your own bathroom in it. So excited myself... and there is a laundry a few steps from where we stay on the property. A dollar a load...but at least it is close and I will have soap and softner for us Love, Mom

  13. Mom...I don't think it will be a problem at all. It will be fine with me to use my own sheets and towels anyway :-)
